With a size of around 350 soccer pitches, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is the largest of its kind in Europe and never fails to delight visitors with its attractions: At the top is Kassel's landmark, the fascinating Hercules Monument. From here, the magnificent baroque water features flow down to Wilhelmshöhe Palace, where the bubbling water rises to a fountain over 50 meters high. The Bergpark has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013 and is a worthwhile destination for attractive supporting programs at any time of year.

The second Kassel World Heritage Site - the manuscript copies of Grimm's Children's and Household Tales - can be admired in the GRIMMWELT on the Weinberg. It was named one of the ten best new museums in the world by the British Guardian. And Kassel's diverse museum landscape also invites visitors on exciting journeys of discovery - from the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Wilhelmshöhe Palace to the Museum of Sepulchral Culture. At the same time, Kassel offers a high scene factor with galleries and creative hotspots that are also worth a visit.

The documenta takes place every five years in Kassel and is regarded as the world's most important exhibition of contemporary art. It was launched in 1955 by the artist and designer Arnold Bode. Since then, it has left numerous traces in Kassel's cityscape - with fascinating outdoor works such as the "Himmelsstürmer" or the "Landschaft im Dia". The documenta-Halle in Kassel's city center offers an attractive setting for stylish evening events.
